CHEESY CHEDDAR & BACON PULL APART BREAD
I POSTED A PHOTO OF THIS BACON AND CHEESE PACKED DISH ON MY INSTAGRAM AND INSTANTLY GOT ASKED WHEN I WOULD BE POSTING THE RECIPE.
THE GREAT THING ABOUT THIS TYPE OF APPETIZER IS THAT IT’S SUPER EASY AND QUICK TO MAKE.
WHETHER YOU NEED TO BRING SOMETHING TO A HOLIDAY PARTY, POTLUCK OR EVEN A LAST MINUTE GAME DAY SNACK, LOOK NO FURTHER.
BEFORE WE GET INTO THE DETAILS, HERE ARE THE OTHER VERSIONS I’VE MADE IN THE PAST:
OOEY GOOEY CHEESY PULL APART CHRISTMAS TREE
GREEK SPINACH DIP STUFFED FRENCH BREAD
JALAPENO POPPER STUFFED CHEESY PULL APART BREAD
THAT’S AMORE! CHEESY BREAD BOWL PIZZA DIP!
HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- A LOAF OF FRENCH BREAD (OR SOURDOUGH)
- 12 SLICES OF COOKED CRISPY BACON
- SLICED CHEDDAR CHEESE
- SOME SORT OF A CHEESE DIP – I USED BACON RANCH CHEDDAR DIP
- 1/2 STICK OF BUTTER (OPTIONAL, BUT HIGHLY RECOMMENDED)
HOW TO MAKE IT
- GRAB A CUTTING BOARD AND SERRATED KNIFE. THEN CUT SLICES INTO THE BREAD ABOUT 1 1/2 INCHES APART. THEN DO THE SAME THING IN THE OTHER DIRECTION. IT WILL MAKE IT LOOK LIKE YOU CUT YOUR BREAD INTO A GRID. MAKE SURE YOU DON’T SLICE ALL THE WAY DOWN, LEAVE ABOUT 1/4 INCH SO THAT IT DOESN’T CUT ALL THE WAY THROUGH.
- USE A SPOON, KNIFE OR EVEN A SMALL SPATULA TO STUFF THE BREAD WITH DIP IN BETWEEN THE SLICES. DO THE SAME THING WITH YOUR SLICED CHEESE (shredded cheese works as well), ADDING PIECES IN BETWEEN EACH. IF YOU’RE VEGAN OR DAIRY FREE, JUST USE ALTERNATIVES.
- SPRINKLE WITH BACON. IF YOU’RE VEGETARIAN, YOU CAN USE A VEGAN ALTERNATIVE.
- MELT THE BUTTER & POUR IT OVER THE TOP.
- COVER THE BREAD WITH ALUMINUM FOIL TO MAKE A LITTLE TENT AND BAKE FOR ABOUT 10 MINUTES AT 375F. REMOVE THE FOIL AND BAKE FOR ANOTHER 5-10 MINUTES UNTIL THE CHEESE IS COMPLETELY MELTED.
- SERVE IMMEDIATELY AND ENJOY!!
