This Bread Bowl Pizza Dip is so easy and a crowd pleasing appetizer!

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf of sourdough bread
  • 8 oz container of jalapeño pub cheese
  • 16 ounce jar marinara sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozarella
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese
  • miniature pepperoni
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • salt & peper

Instructions

  • Position a rack in the middle of the oven; preheat to 400 F. Cut out the center of the bread, leaving a 1-inch border. Using your fingers, hollow out the bread to leave about 1 inch at the bottom.
  • Place the cut-out bread on a work surface. Cut it into rectangular pieces to use as dippers. Place on a large baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle garlic powder on top. Bake for about 10 minutes or until golden brown.
  • While your dippers are baking, combine the jalapeño pub cheese and 1 cup of mozzarella cheese. Place your hollow bread bowl on a baking sheet. Pour tomato sauce into the bottom of the bread bowl, depending on the size of your bread, you'll want to fill about 1" with sauce. Then, pour your pub cheese mixture on top. Top with remaining mozzarella, parmesan and miniature pepperoni.
  • Place the bread bowl in the oven and bake for about 10 minutes, or until the cheese starts to bubble. If you have a broiler function in your oven, broil for 1-2 minutes to make the cheese brown.
  • Remove from the oven and serve with the bread dippers! You can also add pita bread, crackers, chips, etc to the serving dish.
