Ingredients

  • 1 PACKAGE OF PRE-MADE PUFF PASTRY DOUGH THAWED ACCORDING TO PACKAGE INSTRUCTIONS
  • 4 HOT DOGS
  • 2 TBS MELTED BUTTER
  • 2 TBS OLIVE OIL
  • OPTIONAL TOPPINGS: RELISH KETCHUP AND MUSTARD

Instructions

  • PREHEAT YOUR OVEN TO 400F. LINE A BAKING SHEET WITH PARCHMENT PAPER FOR EASY CLEANUP. DRIZZLE A LITTLE OLIVE OIL ON THE PARCHMENT PAPER.
  • UNFOLD THE THAWED PUFF PASTRY DOUGH. CUT THE PUFF PASTRY DOUGH INTO 8 EQUAL-SIZED RECTANGLES.
  • CUT YOUR HOT DOGS IN HALF & PLACE THEM FACE DOWN ON THE PARCHMENT PAPER.
  • PLACE ONE RECTANGLE OF PUFF PASTRY DOUGH ON TOP OF EACH HOT DOG. I LIKE TO USE A FORK TO PRESS THE EDGES.
  • ONCE ALL THE HOT DOGS ARE COVERED, BRUSH WITH MELTED BUTTER.
  • BAKE THE UPSIDE DOWN PUFF PASTRY HOT DOGS IN THE PREHEATED OVEN FOR APPROXIMATELY 15-18 MINUTES OR UNTIL THE PASTRY TURNS GOLDEN BROWN AND PUFFS UP.
  • ONCE BAKED, CAREFULLY REMOVE THE HOT DOGS FROM THE OVEN AND LET THEM COOL FOR A FEW MINUTES BEFORE SERVING.
  • SERVE YOUR UPSIDE DOWN PUFF PASTRY HOT DOGS WITH YOUR FAVORITE TOPPINGS!
