This Baccarat Rouge 540Ā Dupe is Only $19 & Smells Amazing!
This is one of those IYKYK postsā¦ if youāve heard of Baccarat Rouge, you know itās obscenely expensive. But you also know itās one of the most popular, viral, cult-like-obsession perfumes. So, if youāre like me and love the mysterious scent, but canāt even process spending $400 on a bottle of perfume, youāre in luck. Because I found an amazing Baccarat Rouge 540 dupe that only costs $19!
The Famous Baccarat Rouge 540 Dupe
Ok, so if you landed on this post and have no idea what weāre talking aboutā¦
Perfumer Francis Kurkdjian first launched Baccarat Rouge 540 in 2014. It was actually a limited edition (only 250 bottles) release to celebrate the 250th anniversary of Baccarat. Yea, Baccarat the famous old school crystal company.
But it sold out immediately. So they decided to make it a permanent collection & the rest is history!
Now, itās easily one of the most popular perfumes in the world. Itās all over TikTok and a celebrity favorite.
What Does It Smell Like?
Baccarat Rouge 540 has key notes of amber, jasmine, saffron and cedar. Itās warm, a little spicy and decadent. Itās not overly floral or sweet. I can honestly say it smells amazing. I was skeptical – how could something smell that good.
However – I personally couldnāt justify spending $325 on a 2.4 ounce bottle of perfume. I can just hear my dadās voice echoing āwhat theā¦hellā and quietly showing his disappointment in me.
So, I took a cue from my previous internet searchingā¦ when I found the ultimate Le Labo Santal 33 dupe on Amazon. And decided to search for a similar essential oil to make a DIY Rouge inspired perfume!
The Magic Rouge Essential Oil
Surprise, surpriseā¦ the Rouge scented oil I found is actually from the same brand as the famous Santal Oil you guys have made go viral. And when I say you guys made it viral, Iām not kidding. The number of views on the original perfume dupe blog post is insane and constantly growing.
It even inspired me to find famous home scents & diffuser oils to make your house smell like a luxury hotel.
The rouge essential oil from amazon lives up to the hype. The only difference is that itās an oil. Which, in my opinion makes it better because itās more versatile. You can use it as perfume, or even add it to candles, soaps, lotions, shampoo, air freshener spray, cleaning products, scented dryer sheets, potpourri, linens, diffusers, etc.
You can use the dropper and add a drop to your wrists directly. Or, make it into a spray perfume.
My previous tutorial used Vodka – yes, you can use vodka to make perfume! So I thought Iād share another tutorial that works really well here.
Perfume Ingredients & Supplies:

Start with 20-30 drops of essential oil for small bottles & And 40 to 50 drops for large bottles. I recommend startling with less, you can always add more.
Use your mini funnel to fill your bottle with 1/3 of the way with witch hazel & 2/3 with distilled water.
Give it a spritz and determine if you need to add more scented oil!
