DECOUPAGE IS A TYPE OF CRAFTING THAT BASICALLY MEANS – DECORATING SOMETHING WITH CUT OUTS.
MOST OF THE TIME, IT INVOLVES SOME TYPE OF PAPER. MOST OF THE TIME, CRAFTERS USE MOD PODGE FOR THEIR DECOUPAGE PROJECTS.
IN OUR CASE – WE’RE USING TISSUE PAPER. AKA GIFT WRAP. BUT YOU CAN ALSO USE PAPER NAPKINS! THE GOAL WITH THESE DIY PUMPKINS IS TO FIND A FUN PATTERN OR PRINT.

LET’S GET CRAFTING!
Alright! Let’s decorate pumpkins with tissue paper!
First, you’re going to want to map out your pumpkins. if you want to do an all over print, i recommend cutting your tissue paper into strips. if you want to have more strategic placement, cut out the designs first.
once you have an idea of where you want to place your tissue paper, brush a thin even layer of mod podge on a small area of your pumpkin.
then, place the tissue paper on the pumpkin. i recommend placing from the center of the design and working your way outwards as you smooth it out. this will prevent it from wrinkling or bubbling.
use your fingers to make sure the edges of the piece of tissue paper are flat. then, gently brush on another layer of mod podge.
continue the process until the entire pumpkin is covered. allow the mod podge glue to dry completely. if you want to keep your pumpkins outside, you can use outdoor mod podge that’s also waterproof!
