Amazon Fashion Finds: The Neon Edit
Neon is definitely the “it” trend right now & I don’t see that changing any time soon. Every fashion magazine, runway & designer has been adding pops of neon color.
Shades of lemon, lime, tangerine and fuchsia are all the rage. Neon looks can definitely turn heads. But there are also ways to style it in a more subtle way. Whether it’s blending neon accessories with more muted tones or adding a pop of neon with a fun chunky sweater or mini dress.
Neon dresses are one of the easiest ways to work the trend. I find that yellows, pinks & lime greens are the easiest to pull off. To tone it down, just pair it with beige, white or denim.
How to Wear Neon
I’m loving the neon clothes for spring and summer. Fluorescent shades are all the rage, with a major thanks to celebrities like the Kardashians.
If you’re looking for a fun, casual way to style a neon look, start with casual streetwear. The spring/summer 2019 catwalks were full of looks that either had subtle pops of neon or were beaming head-to-toe.
When I first dabbled in the neon pond, I was a little worried I couldn’t rock it. Or that it wouldn’t be very flattering. Not to mention I didn’t want to look like a highlighter.
The fluorescent trend is actually easier to style than you would think. I love wearing all black with a pop of neon. Black pants and a leather jacket with a fun lime green sweater. Or a little black dress with a fun fuchsia pair of shoes. Neon also looks great with leather (in my case faux leather) or latex-esque pants or a mini skirt.
My all time favorite way to rock neon is with a splash of animal print. A cute midi leopard skirt and a chunky neon sweater and tennis shoes. Or a cute pair of snakeskin pants and a neon purse.

Neon Clothes from Amazon
I’m obsessed with neon sweaters for spring. They’re so cute with a pair of black pants or even a printed skirt. Neon mini dresses are also a fun option for a night out with friends for drinks! I’ve got my eye on a couple magenta fitted suits too. I’m obsessed with the idea of showing up to my meetings in a bright pink power suit!
Neon Shoes from Amazon
If you’re a little nervous to try the neon trend, start with shoes! A fun lime green pair of heels is the perfect way to spice up a simple black dress. I also love the bright yellow combat boots and hot pink Vans I’ve seen pop up, which would be so cute with a pair of distressed jeans and a band t-shirt!
Neon Swimsuits from Amazon
Yes! It’s finally time to start buying swimsuits! And what better way to take advantage of the neon trend than with a fun, brightly colored suit! I’m all about the neon animal print suits this season. Amazon is definitely my go to place for finding swimsuits. I love that you can find super cute styles at super low prices. And like I mentioned, it’s great because people usually upload photos of themselves in the suits so you can gauge how they fit. As a a pretty standard rule, I always size up when buying swimsuits on Amazon because they tend to run a little small. When buying a one piece swimsuit, I even size up 2 sizes a lot of the time. Bikinis are a little more forgiving, so one size up is usually fine.
Neon Accessories from Amazon
Another great way to start working the neon trend is through accessories! Add a pop of pink, green or yellow to any outfit with a fun bag, pair of sunglasses or earrings. How fun would it be to travel in style with hot pink or lime green luggage!? You’d definitely be able to spot your bag on the conveyer belt!
