THANKSGIVING AND THE HOLIDAYS ARE LOOKING A LOT DIFFERENT FOR MOST OF US THIS YEAR. SO ONE OF MY MAJOR GOALS WAS TO FIGURE OUT SOME EASY RECIPES THAT DON’T FEEL LIKE YOU’RE TOTALLY MISSING OUT ON THE FESTIVITIES.

A LOT OF US DON’T GET TO VISIT OUR FAMILIES, SO FINDING RECIPES THAT YOU CAN MAKE FOR A SMALL GROUP OF PEOPLE (OR EVEN TWO) WAS AT AT THE TOP OF MY CHECKLIST.

I ALSO REALLY LIKE FINDING RECIPES YOU CAN WHIP UP WITH A FEW INEXPENSIVE INGREDIENTS THAT BOTH LOOK AND TASTE LIKE YOU SPENT HOURS IN THE KITCHEN.

THIS RECIPE IS BASICALLY JUST A DINNER ROLL, SLICED & STUFFED WITH TASTY INGREDIENTS.

I LOVE THAT YOU CAN MAKE 1, 2, 4 OR 20 OF THESE REALLY EASILY. THEY ALSO TRAVEL REALLY WELL. SO IF YOU’RE PLANNING ON GOING TO SEE FAMILY OR YOU WANT TO DROP SOMETHING OFF ON A FRIEND’S DOORSTEP, THESE ARE AMAZING.

TIPS FOR MAKING BACON & BRIE BREAD

FIRST UP, YOU NEED TO PICK OUT BREAD OR ROLLS. YOU CAN USE ANY BREAD OR ROLLS THAT HAVEN’T ALREADY BEEN SLICED. I’VE BEEN USING AMAZON PRIME NOW FOR GROCERY DELIVERY, SO I JUST ORDERED THE FIRST PACK OF ROLLS I SAW.

YOU COULD ALSO USE A GIANT ROUND OF BREAD, LIKE THIS CHEESY JALAPENO PULL APART BREAD!

THE OTHER INGREDIENTS YOU’LL NEED:

  • BRIE CHEESE – ANY BRAND WORKS, DON’T WORRY ABOUT BUYING ANYTHING FANCY.
  • BACON – YOU CAN USE ANY KIND OF BACON. EVEN TURKEY BACON OR VEGAN BACON WORK!
  • OLIVE OIL – FOR DRIZZLING.
  • HONEY – FOR THE FINAL TASTY TOUCH!

WHEN YOU SLICE YOUR BREAD, MAKE SURE NOT TO SLICE ALL THE WAY THROUGH. A SERRATED KNIFE WORKS BEST. THAT’S HOW YOU CREATE THE LITTLE NOOKS TO STUFF. IF YOU CUT ONE ALL THE WAY THROUGH, DON’T STRESS THOUGH, YOU CAN STILL USE IT!

YOU CAN HEAT THESE UP IN YOUR OVEN OR A TOASTER OVEN. I RECOMMEND PREHEATING THE OVEN TO 400 F. I LINE A LARGE BAKING SHEET WITH PARCHMENT PAPER FOR EASY CLEAN UP.

bake until the cheese is melted! USUALLY IT TAKES ABOUT 5 – 7 MINUTES FOR ME. BUT DEPENDING ON YOUR OVEN, IT MAY TAKE UP TO 15 MINUTES.

BACON & BRIE LOADED BREAD BITES

Ingredients

  • ROLLS BUY AT LEAST ONE ROLL FOR EVERY PERSON
  • BRIE A WEDGE OR ROUND WORKS
  • BACON ONE PIECE OF BACON FOR EVERY ROLL
  • OLIVE OIL EVO IS GREAT
  • HONEY WHATEVER YOU LIKE BEST!

Instructions

  • Cut 1-inch slices 3/4′s of the the way through the rolls.
  • Cut slices of brie and place the cheese in between the slices.
  • Cook your bacon. Once it's cooled, chop it into small pieces. Then, add bacon in between the slices of your rolls.
  • Drizzle with a little olive oil.
  • Bake for about 5-7 minutes (or until the cheese melts) at 400 F.
  • Before serving, drizzle each roll with honey.
