TRUFFLE SKILLET RAVIOLI LASAGNA
YOU GUYS… I HAVEN’T LEFT THE HOUSE IN LIKE, I DON’T KNOW HOW LONG. FOR THOSE WHO DON’T KNOW, CALIFORNIA IS BASICALLY SHUT DOWN. MOST RESTAURANTS ARE COMPLETELY CLOSED, WITH A FEW STAYING OPEN FOR TAKEOUT.
AS A SELF PROCLAIMED SAN DIEGO FOODIE, THIS HURTS MY SOUL! I MISS GOING OUT TO RESTAURANTS. I MISS TRYING NEW FOODS. I MISS JUST GETTING OUT AND ABOUT TO BE HONEST.
SO FOR OUR FRIDAY NIGHT DATE NIGHT AT HOME, I DECIDED TO WHIP UP A FANCY FEAST. MY FRIENDS AT TRUFF SENT ME THEIR NEW pasta sauce and i felt like it was the perfect occasion to use a jar!
tonight, we’re eating an extra cheesy truffle skillet ravioli lasagna! and lucky for your stomach, i’m sharing the easy recipe!
how to make TRUFFLE SKILLET RAVIOLI LASAGNA
ok so what’s the deal with truff sauce?
if you’ve never tried truff’s hot sauces, i urge you to rush over to their site and buy yourself a few bottles. i literally put it on everything.
they recently launched pasta sauces – black truffle pomodoro & BLACK TRUFFLE ARRABIATA. BOTH ARE DELISH.
I OPTED TO USE THE TRUFF ARRABIATA FIRST. I LOVE THAT THE WHOLE GOAL OF TRUFF’S SAUCES IS TO CONVERT lazy dinners into adventurous dining.
I’M ALL ABOUT LAZY GAL RECIPES THAT TASTE LIKE YOU SPENT HOURS SWEATING OVER THE STOVE.
HERE’S WHAT ELSE YOU’LL NEED:
- FROZEN OR FRESH RAVIOLI
- MEATBALLS
- MOZZARELLA CHEESE
- BREAD CRUMBS
- PARMESAN CHEESE
I LIKE USING A SKILLET, BUT YOU CAN ALSO USE ANY OVEN SAFE PAN OR BAKING DISH.
a few notes
- you can use whatever ravioli you like! i like using simple frozen cheese ravioli. but if you want, you can use fresh ravioli. you can also opt for gluten free or vegan ravioli. either way – you don’t need to pre-cook the ravioli, just throw em’ in! you’ll just want to cook for at least 30 minutes to ensure they’re cooked through.
- the same goes for meatballs – use whatever you like!
- if you can’t track down my favorite truff pasta sauce, any pasta tomato sauce will work!
- my favorite way to make skillet lasagna is with meatballs, but you could also add vegetables or ground beef. the key is adding ravioli and sauce.
TRUFFLE RAVIOLI SKILLET LASAGNA
Ingredients
- 1 JAR TRUFF PASTA SAUCE
- 1 BAG RAVIOLI FROZEN OR REFRIGERATED
- 1 BAG FROZEN MEATBALLS 24 OZ FRESH OR FROZEN
- FRESH MOZZARELLA CHEESE 16 OZ, SLICED OR GRATED
- PARMESAN CHEESE ABOUT 5 OUNCES GRATED
- 2 CUPS BREAD CRUMBS
Instructions
- PREHEAT THE OVEN TO 425 F.
- COOK THE MEATBALLS IN THE SKILLET, BROWNING ALL SIDES.
- REMOVE THE MEATBALLS AND ADD A LAYER OF FRESH OR FROZEN RAVIOLI.
- SPRINKLE WITH HALF OF THE BREAD CRUMBS. THEN ADD HALF OF THE SAUCE.
- LAYER THE CHEESE ON TOP & ADD ANOTHER LAYER OF SAUCE & BREADCRUMBS, FOLLOWED BY PARMESAN CHEESE.
- BAKE FOR 30-40 MINUTES OR UNTIL GOLDEN BROWN AND BUBBLY!
