Skinny & Spicy Artichoke Dip RECIPE
ANYONE ELSE LOVE SNACKS? TODAY I’M SHARING MY FAVORITE GO TO LIGHTENED UP APPETIZER – SKINNY & SPICY ARTICHOKE DIP!
THIS YEAR I’VE BEEN FOCUSED ON FINDING WAYS TO LIGHTEN UP MY FAVORITE RECIPES. I love finding ways to make ALL OF my favorite store bought snacks at home. Not only does it save money, but you have more control over the ingredients, which helps lighten them up and keep them healthier!
HOW TO MAKE SKINNY & SPICY ARTICHOKE DIP
Every once in a while i’ll make a skinny spinach dip inspired by favorite dip from trader joe’s. But honestly, spicy artichoke dip is my all time favorite.
not only is my skinny & spicy artichoke dip super easy to make, it uses lighter ingredients making it a “less guilty” option.
let’s chat ingredients
+ 2 cups of plain greek yogurt (or you can also use non dairy). this is the “base” of the dip. normally, similar dips use mayonnaise, sour cream or full fat cream cheese. by using a light (I like zero percent) greek yogurt, you’re cutting the calories in half (or more). but it still gives you a thick consistency, great texture & tangy flavor. you could also use a fat free or reduced fat cream cheese if you want.
+ 1 can chopped artichoke hearts (drained & patted dry). i like them coarsely chopped to make them easier to scoop up.
+ 1/2 cup Jalapeno Peppers (i like Mezzetta Sliced Tamed). it also helps to chop them up into smaller pieces. use more or less depending on how spicy you want it. and if the consistency of your dip is a little bit too thick, add a tablespoon of the juice!
+ 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese. you can use vegan parmesan if you want too!
+ 1 teaspoon salt
+ 1 teaspoon pepper
+ 1 teaspoon olive oil
how to whip up your dip
Mix all of the ingredients together. Cover and refrigerate for a couple hours before serving.
I like serving mine with freshly baked pita chips!
i normally serve my dip cold, but you can also heat it up!
just preheat your oven to 350 degrees. put the dip in a microwave safe container & cover with tin foil.
bake for 20-25 minutes.
if you want it to be extra crispy, add a little bit of mozzarella cheese (or non dairy alternative).
side note: you can also add fresh spinach or frozen spinach to make this a spicy spinach and artichoke dip.
i recommend heating it up in the microwave & draining the excess water before mixing it. start with 1/4 cup of spinach and add more depending on your preference.
it’s such a great recipe for parties, girl’s night, the holidays or even a movie night at home!

Ingredients
- 2 cups 0% plain greek yogurt
- 1 can artichoke hearts chopped
- 1/2 cup Sliced Jalapeño Peppers chopped
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pepper
Instructions
- Mix all of the ingredients together.
- Cover and refrigerate for a couple of hours before serving.
- I like serving mine with freshly baked pita chips!
