Another One Bites the Crust: Pizza Sticks 4Ever

RevengePizzaSticks

Attention: Today is National Pizza Party Day!

In honor of the historic day (because it should obviously be a real recognized holiday that we get off of work), I’m making Pizza Sticks! What better way to celebrate with your friends than Pizza in dunkable stick form!

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Crescent Dough (I recommend getting 2 packs in case you start running low)
  • String Cheese (12 pack)
  • Pepperoni (I used Mini Pepperoni)
  • Marinara or Pizza Sauce for dipping

To get started, you’re going to want to roll your dough out. Don’t worry about it being perfect, it’s going to get rolled up later anyways. Using your fingers, join the seams so that they’re little rectangles.

Then, you’re going to cut the dough into 12 strips. I recommend doing this with 2 packages of dough so you have some extra to work with. cut doughUnwrap your String Cheese & slice them 2/3 of the way through, making little cheese boats. Stuff the slits with pepperoni. I can’t imagine a tastier boat to be stuck inside of (drooling).

boats

I wonder if I jumped out of the cheese boat if the little pepperoni would save me by letting me eat them to stay afloat?

Here comes the tricky part… You’re going to take your dough strip and carefully wrap the cheese boats up. Pretend you’re wrapping a mummy up (a really delicious one that you’ll eat). If you run out of dough, use another strip and trim it when you’re done with a knife.

Pop those bad boys into the over at 400F for about 12 minutes. Don’t worry if the cheese explodes out the sides. They’ll still be delicious. Dip your Pizza sticks in Marinara or Pizza Sauce!
