What Ingredients do I need?

Here’s a breakdown of what you’ll need to make your own croissant muffins:

  • Crescent Dough
  • Butter
  • Granulated White Sugar
  • Powdered Cinnamon
  • Nutella Spread

I used paper baking cups, but you can also spray a muffin tin with nonstick cooking spray or use a silicone muffin mold.

Instructions

How to Make Easy Cinnamon Sugar Cruffins

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F. Prepare your muffin tin, mold or baking cups with nonstick spray.
  • Use a rolling pin to roll out a sheet of crescent roll dough. You can use your fingers to pinch the perforation lines together & roll it smooth.
  • Use a brush or spoon to spread the melted butter on top of the crescent dough.
  • Mix the sugar and cinnamon & sprinkle on top. Erin
  • Roll the dough up (from the long side) forming a log. Use a knife to cut the dough in half. Then cut each of those halves lengthwise, splitting them down the center.
  • I used my finger to wrap each piece of dough, forming the shape of a muffin.
  • Place each piece of rolled dough into the muffin cups. Bake for 20-22 minutes. Sprinkle with a little extra sugar when they come out of the oven.
  • After they’ve cooled. Use a piping bag (or just a ziplock bag with the tip cut off) to fill the center of the Cruffins with Nutella. Because of the dough folds, you clean easily separate and insert the tip in to fill with about a tablespoon of Nutella.
  • I served them topped with a little chunk of chocolate for decoration!

Each tube of crescent dough makes 4 cruffins. You can make a small batch or use 3 containers to make a full dozen. The recipe below is for a dozen, but just split the measurements into thirds for smaller batches!
