The Easiest Mint S’more Oreo Donuts
Oh my god you guys, I think I just died and came back to life in the form of Mint S’more Oreo Donuts!
Would you believe me if I told you they’re like… the easiest recipe ever?? I know, they look super fancy, right? I could have lied and told you I slaved over the stove and deep fryer all day to make these, but I’m all about being real. I’m going to share my not so top secret trick & recipe with you guys!
First of all… these bad boys are baked! Not fried. Which basically makes them healthy, right? Ok, not healthy, but a little lighter than the ones you find at the donut shop. Also, they’re made from CAKE MIX! That’s right, my favorite recipe hack. So basically, it’s the best way EVER to justify eating cake for breakfast.
To get started, you’re going to want to get a donut pan, like this one! I recommend getting a nonstick one, but don’t get one of the silicone ones. They won’t get crispy enough.
Next you’ll need to round up your ingredients.
For the Donuts:
1 Box of Chocolate Cake Mix
1 Egg
1 cup water
1/4 cup vegetable oil
For the Topping:
Dipping Chocolate (like this)
Mint Oreo Thins (crumbled)
Mini Marshmallows
Instructions
Heat your oven to 350 degrees F. Then, spray your donut pan with non-stick cooking spray.
Mix your cake mix, egg, vegetable oil, and water.
Pour the batter into a large plastic bag and snip off a small portion of the corner. Squeeze the donut mix into the donut pan until cups are about 1/2 full.
Bake for 13-15 minutes. Let the donuts cool for about 5 minutes before removing them to cool completely.
I recommend using Bakers Dipping Chocolate because it’s really easy to use and has a great texture. You heat it up in the microwave and then can dip the donuts in it.
Sprinkle the donuts with crumbled Mint Oreo Thins & then top with a few marshmallows.
Enjoy!
