MINI MAGIC: No Bake Mini Boston Cream Pie Bites
Every once in a while, I get a craving to make a dessert that turns out to be pretty elaborate and time consuming. It takes 20 steps with hours in between each, multiple layers of baking and refrigerating. By the end of it, I wish I had just gone to the store and gotten a package of powdered donuts and called it a day.
The other day I had an intense Boston Cream Pie craving. To be fair, I can’t even remember the last time I ate, let alone cooked a Boston Cream Pie. I could barely even remember the ingredients, but I had a feeling it wouldn’t be one of those instant gratification recipes I love so much. Enter… the no bake concept. If there’s a no bake alternative to a recipe, I’ve tried it. I did a little digging and brainstorming and decided to make Mini No Bake Boston Cream Pies. And by mini, I mean cute little bite sized treats! I mean, c’mon… everything is better miniature.
These cute little poppers call for Nilla Wafers instead of the standard yellow cake. And as I mentioned earlier… no baking needed! All you need is a microwave to slightly melt your chocolate.
