HOW TO MAKE YOUR OWN TIE DYE SWEATS

Diy Tie Dye Sweats - Erin Perry - Ice Cream & Neon Dreams

I don’t know about you, but I haven’t put jeans on in a solid month. I have night time pajamas. And I have my “day time” pajamas. I like to change into something I haven’t slept in, that’s got more of a loungewear vibe. And tie dye sweats are officially my new work from home uniform.

There are TONS of brands selling tie dye sweatsuits. I keep seeing other bloggers and fashionistas posting their cute new coordinate sets. But for real, I can not even comprehend spending money on overpriced sweats right now. Even though I’m working, it just doesn’t seem like the right time to be splurging on pajamas? Am I crazy?

DIY Tie Dye Sweats

Anyways, you guys know I’m pretty thrifty. So I opted to make my own tie dye sweats! I’ve had this hooded sweatshirt and sweatpants set for a few months. I got the set on Amazon Prime for about $37. It was a super easy project and I’ve gotta say, they look way cuter! So if you’re feeling crafty and a little FOMO of the stylish trend, read on to learn how to make your own tie dye sweats at home!

MAKE YOUR OWN TIE DYE SWEATS

Making your own tie dye projects at home is so easy. You can tie dye whatever you want! Sweats, t-shirts, blankets, shoes, jeans… you name it! But since I’m all about being cozy right now, whipping up a cute tie dye sleepwear set was first on my list.

There are two different ways you can tie dye.

  1. Bleach
  2. Dye

Since I dyed a pink sweatsuit, I opted to use bleach. Since bleach can be kind of hard to find, I recommend looking in store.

If you want to dye something that is white, you can use dye. I like using Rit Dye – their colors are amazing.

Other items you need:

  • rubber bands
  • a spray bottle or squeeze bottle
  • gloves
  • whatever items you want to tie dye
