Jennifer Aniston is one of my all time favorite actresses. I feel like she’s super relatable, like we could be friends in real life. Get it… friends!

She’s also a mega babe. Whenever I talk to people about fitness goals, I always reference her as my inspiration. There’s really no denying that Jennifer Aniston is in kick ass shape.

Remember when she made her famous hair cut “The Rachel” a cult classic? I’m pretty sure almost every 90’s girl went to their hair salon and asked for her hairstyle.

That being said, she’s kind of my “go to” for style, fitness & diet inspo. So it shouldn’t surprise you that I’ve spent hours googling “Jennifer Aniston’s diet” and “What does Jennifer Aniston eat every day?”.

Did you know that the cast of Friends ate THE SAME EXACT SALAD, every single day for 10 years!? I kid you not. Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow and Courteney Cox all ate lunch together and had the same dish for the 10 years that the series ran.

That’s what the cast said during a special program broadcast by NBC paying tribute to the director, James Burrows. So not only are the ladies friends in real life, they had lunch together every day!

And since all of the ladies, including Jen, look absolutely AMAZING, I made it my mission to find her salad recipe!

Since posting this recipe years ago – it’s gone viral! I’m so proud to say that this was the ORIGINAL recipe for the Jennifer Aniston Salad! I adapted everything from a magazine interview. Figuring out the measurements and quantities through trial and error. There are tons of different variations & shares and I love seeing how many other people appreciate it!

The fact that the cast of Friend’s favorite food was a salad seems kind of crazy. But it made me wonder, if they could eat something every single day, it had to actually taste good, right? Jen’s salad is a balanced meal with just the right amounts of vegetables, carbs, protein and healthy fats.

So what exactly goes into the Jennifer Aniston Salad? I found the recipe and tested it on some friends recently and the results were unanimous, it’s a total crowd pleaser. And that’s coming from some very skeptical critics. Especially when you consider there isn’t even any dressing on it.

You read that right, no dressing! Sounds gross, but it’s legitimately the best salad I’ve ever eaten. The combination of bulgar, cucumbers, parsley, mint, red onion garbanzo beans & feta fuse together to give it a ton of flavor.

This has to be my all time favorite salad. It’s so easy to make & has inspired me to use the tasty combination of garbanzo beans & feta cheese in my homemade hummus dips! I have a few friends who make this salad regularly and also love adding a little turkey bacon or chicken to make it a meal.

The Salad Jennifer Aniston & the Friend's Cast Ate Every Day for 10 Years!

The Jennifer Salad Ingredients

  • 1 cup of bulgur
  • 2 diced cucumbers
  • 1 (15oz.) can of garbanzo beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1/4 cup of red onion, minced
  • 2 tablespoons of chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tablespoon of chopped fresh mint
  • 1/2 cup of crumbled feta cheese
  • 1/2 cup of shelled pistachios

Directions

  1. Bring 2 cups of water to a boil. Add 1 cup of bulgar and reduce the heat to low. Cover and let the bulgar cook for about 20 minutes or until the water is absorbed. Be sure to stir every 5 minutes. Let the bulgar cool for at least 20 minutes until it’s room temperature.
  2. In a large bowl, combine cucumbers, garbanzo beans, pistachios, red onion, parsley, mint, feta cheese and bulgur. Stir to combine.
  3. Serve or put into an airtight container to save in the refrigerator.

THE JENNIFER ANISTON SALAD

learn how to make the salad that Jennifer Aniston & the cast of Friends ate every day for 10 years!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup bulgur
  • 2 cucumbers, diced
  • 15 oz garbanzo beans rinsed & drained
  • 1/4 cup red onion, minced
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh mint, chopped
  • 1/2 cup crumbled feta
  • 1/2 cup shelled pistachios

Instructions

  • BRING 2 CUPS OF WATER TO A BOIL. ADD 1 CUP OF BULGAR AND REDUCE THE HEAT TO LOW. COVER AND LET THE BULGAR COOK FOR ABOUT 20 MINUTES OR UNTIL THE WATER IS ABSORBED. BE SURE TO STIR EVERY 5 MINUTES. LET THE BULGAR COOL FOR AT LEAST 20 MINUTES UNTIL IT’S ROOM TEMPERATURE.
  • IN A LARGE BOWL, COMBINE CUCUMBERS, GARBANZO BEANS, PISTACHIOS, RED ONION, PARSLEY, MINT, FETA CHEESE AND BULGUR. STIR TO COMBINE.
  • SERVE OR PUT INTO AN AIRTIGHT CONTAINER TO SAVE IN THE REFRIGERATOR.
