How to Make a DIY Candy Bouquet
I shared this DIY Candy Bouquet tutorial on Instagram a few years ago and finally got around to sharing it here on the blog! Just in time for Valentine’s Day – this is the easiest customizable foodie bouquet you can eat!
How to Make a DIY Candy Bouquet
One of my favorite things about this DIY is that you can choose your special someone’s favorite candy – meaning they get all of the good stuff!
Materials Needed
- Favorite candy bars
- Foam block or floral foam
- Wooden skewers
- Decorative ribbon
- Tissue paper
- Tape
Step 1: Get Your Candy
Start by collecting an assortment of your loved one’s favorite candy bars. Consider a mix of chocolate, candies, and treats to add variety to your bouquet. You can even add sour candies!
Step 2: Prepare the base
Start with a piece of foam (I used leftover packing foam). This will serve as the foundation for your candy bouquet. You can even use candy bars around the foam block. Just tape them in place or use double stick tape on the back.
Step 3: Attach Candy Bars to Skewers
Tape the wooden skewers to the back of each candy bar. Make sure that the skewers are long enough to insert into the foam.
Step 4: Arrange Candy Bars
Fold up some tissue paper and place it into the foam. Depending on how dense your foam is, you can always tape it to a skewer.
Then, begin arranging the candy bars into the foam, creating a bouquet-like structure. Vary the heights and angles so it looks like a bouquet of flowers.
Step 5: Final Touches
I added a bow to my bouquet – but you can also add more tissue paper or even wrap it in cellophane. Don’t forget to add a personalized card before giving your sweet gift!
