Homemade Disneyland Dole Whip Recipe
Quick Story: I love Disneyland. Ok, so that wasn’t really a story.
I’ve had an Annual Pass for Disneyland for quite some time and try to go a handful of times a year. We have a pretty standard routine… get to the park, grab a drink at California Adventure, hit up The Tower of Terror (my favorite ride) and decide which Fast Pass we want to get for the day. Usually it’s Star Tours or Space Mountain because let’s be real, what’s a trip to Disneyland without a quick stop at The Star Trader.
Literally every time I’m at Disneyland, I venture over to Adventureland to check the line at the Tiki Room. More often than not, the line spans all the way to Indiana Jones and I shrug it off. As much as I love the Hawaiian War Chant, I can’t justify wasting 45 minutes waiting in line for a snack. On the rare occasion the line is under 10 minutes though, you can catch me picking up a Dole Whip (no sharing, I need my own).
After searching around a bit, I decided it looked easy enough to make my very own Dole Pineapple Whip creation at home. The great thing I realized is that while there are a lot of unhealthy versions of the recipe, it’s SUPER easy to make it healthy (and Vegan)!
Technically I could have went all out and used Ice Cream and added sugar, but I like the idea of being able to have a guilt free Dole Whip for breakfast. And to be honest, it tastes just as good.
Here’s what you’ll need:
– 1 bag of frozen Pineapple Chunks (Dole works, but I went the cheap & easy route and used Fresh & Easy brand)
– 1 cup of Vanilla Almond Milk (you could also substitute Vanilla Coconut Milk)
– Honey (about a tablespoon depending on how sweet you want it)
All you have to do is add the three ingredients in a blender and voila! It makes about 2 servings, so if you want a smaller batch just use half the amount! If you can dream it… you can do it! Next time you need a little vacation from your day, put on crown, pour yourself a glass & dream away!
