LIVE FIERCE: How to Achieve Your Dreams
Kind Heart. Fierce Mind. Brave Spirit.
Yea, yea, yea… this is going to be one of those emo / posi vibes posts.
Is it possible to break down “achievements” into steps? Not everyone’s goals and paths are the same, but the process of getting there is usually similar. I, like everyone else, get frustrated with the process of achieving my goals and figuring out what I want to accomplish. I was so excited to team up with Puma on their new FIERCE Swan campaign, which is all about owning the moment & doing what moves you.
So what’s the best way to get on track to pursuing your dreams.
DREAM BIG
It all starts with what’s in your heart. All it takes is a dream. Be sure to give yourself time to figure out what your dream is and ask “What next?”. Dream BIG! Try not to let negativity get in the way.
BELIEVE IN YOURSELF
Your dream need to be massive and something that initially seems outside of the realm of possibility. If you’re not dreaming big enough, what’s the point? But you also need to remind yourself that it’s possible. You’re capable of anything you set your mind to.
VISUALIZE IT
I’m a big believer in creating vision boards. You know, a giant board with pictures from magazines cut out of all of your favorite things and goals? You can do it with Pinterest too! Or even save images on your phone into a special folder. You have to picture yourself achieving your goals and see if often.
TALK ABOUT IT
If you’re dreams aren’t going anywhere, maybe it’s because you haven’t told anyone! You need to tell people about your dreams because the more you talk about it, the more you’ll believe it’s possible. It also helps us stay accountable for our goals.
PLAN AHEAD
Get a game plan and set actionable milestones for yourself. You can talk about your goals all day, but what’s step one? And what timeline are you giving yourself? Set up a “dream” timeline and make sure you set realistic expectations up for “checkins”.
WORK WORK WORK WORK
Just like Rihanna says… You’re going to have to work. Dreams rarely just come true. And I’m jealous of people who just get handed things. But at the end of the day, the harder you have to work at reaching your goals, the more you’ll appreciate it when you get there. Work hard every day and eventually you’ll get there.
