We’re back! It’s taken a while, but I finally posted a new YouTube video! Last weekend my Dad (Jim), Sister (Sophie) & Family Pup (Lola) came to stay with us! It’s always fun having them in town. We decided to try something new and rented a boat on Coronado Island!

Family Weekend in San Diego

I’m always searching for fun things to do when my family or friends come to visit. I even wrote a blog post on a ton of things to do in San Diego. Friday night I took my dad and sister to my favorite taco shop, Cantina Mayahuel. Don’t bother trying to make a reservation, they don’t have a phone! Tables are first come first serve, so be sure to get there early! I recommend the spicy margaritas and carnitas tacos!

Then we went to The Lot, my favorite movie theater ever. You can order dinner, drinks & fancy snacks while you lounge in comfortable recliners. Next time you catch a movie there, be sure to order Popcorn: 1/2 Caramel Corn 1/2 Butter. I swear you’ll thank me.

On Saturday we hit the water and showed them the coastline. It was so much fun being able to see a different part of San Diego. We were able to take the boat out for a few hours and rode around the entire bay. We even got a closer look at some of the old ships and the Maritime Museum. The rest of the weekend we relaxed and tried some new restaurants. It was definitely one of my favorite weekends I’ve spent with my family in a long time!

Tony recently got a new GoPro so we decided to try to make our first video! We’ve been wanting to start making videos so that we can share more of our adventures & daily life. There’s something fun and a little more personal about videos. I think it will be a cool way for you guys to get to know us better! We shot a ton of footage when we were boating and have been trying to capture more every day! I’m excited to hear what kind of videos you guys want to see more of!
