When people talk about “the wine country” in California, they usually mention Napa. But what most people don’t realize is that Sonoma County is actually bigger! Sonoma is somewhat lesser known, but has a similar number of wineries, spread over twice the land. This makes it feel less crowded and most of the time less expensive.

Sonoma is the perfect destination if you’re looking for a more relaxed, intimate vibe. Sonoma County grows also grows far more grapes than Napa in a variety of conditions, making everything from Chardonnay to Zinfandel.
