Easy 2 Ingredient Chocolate Croquembouche Dessert Recipe

Easy Chocolate Croquembouche Recipe - Erin Perry - Ice Cream & Neon Dreams

I would dream of having a holiday croquembouche as a kid. I’m not sure what movie or magazine I saw one in, but it looked so fancy and delicious. While I don’t entirely know how to make one from scratch, I did figure out a little shortcut for an easy chocolate croquembouche recipe using store bought, ready made ingredients!

How to Make a Quick Chocolate Croquembouche

Croquembouche is French for “crunch in the mouth”. It’s a cone shaped tower of cream puffs stuck together with caramel.

To make this impressive dessert tower, all you need are store bought cream puffs & your favorite store bought chocolate frosting. To make it even more impressive, I recommend using a cake stand!

I bought 2 containers of cream puffs, but you can use just one for a smaller tower. Pull them out of the freezer & start assembling! Basically, you just want to start with a base of cream puffs in a circle. Think: the shape of a Christmas tree.

From there, all you have to do is start stacking. You’ll want to evenly place them in smaller and smaller circles, forming a tower. If for any reason they won’t stay in place, just use a little frosting cement.

Once your tower is ready, Heat up your store bought frosting for about 30 seconds in the microwave – this will make it pour perfectly! You can drizzle the chocolate frosting on top of the Croquembouche just like chocolate sauce.

It makes the perfect centerpiece for any party and your guests will love it! I love using it for holiday party tables because they’re an easy to eat treat and taste amazing!
