Easy 3 Ingredient Graham Cracker Crumb Bars Recipe Hack
I’m back with another recipe from my Grandma’s archives. I have no idea where this recipe came from – but I know it was one of those retro housewife baking hacks that was written down at pot lucks! Unlike jello salad, these easy 3 ingredient graham cracker crumb bars are sure to be a hit with your family! Be sure to save this recipe because it’s a life saver when you need to bake a quick dessert for a party or just want an easy, freshly baked treat!
Graham Cracker Crumb Bars
These graham cracker crumb bars are similar in texture to a brownie or a Blondie. The trick is not to over bake them. Luckily, there are no eggs or other ingredients you’re waiting to bake through!
I added semi-sweet chocolate chips to the bars, but you can get creative and use whatever kind you like! You can also add nuts for extra flavor & crunch if you like them – I recommend using walnuts or pecans. But they honestly don’t need them.
The bars are dense, a little chewy, gooey & have so much flavor! The graham crackers and chocolate are one of my favorite flavor combination – I mean, who doesn’t love s’mores? And somehow the sweetened condensed milk magically pulls the ingredients together and forms a fudge like, decadent baked bar!
3 Ingredients You’ll Need
- 2 cups of graham cracker crumbs
- 1 14 oz can of sweetened condensed milk
- 1 12 oz bag of chocolate chips (I used semi-sweet chocolate chips)
How to Make these Easy Bars
There’s not a lot to this recipe – which is why I love it! You basically just mix the ingredients in a large bowl. Then, press the graham cracker mixture into a greased or parchment paper lined 9×9” baking dish.
Then, bake at 350F for about 20 minutes. Making sure you don’t over bake them is key – you want them to stay soft and almost under baked!
