How to make instant pumpkin spice latte mix
i usually make hot chocolate mix during the holidays, but this year thought i’d spice things up, literally! i love pumpkin spice lattes, they’re so warm and cozy!
psl’s are definitely a highlight of the fall & winter seasons for me. and surprisingly, they’re super easy to make from scratch.
which makes them the perfect diy gift idea. you can make a ton of these cute little tubes and it won’t break the bank either.
whether you’re looking for fun diy gifts, stocking stuffer ideas or just want to whip up a few batches for yourself, this diy instant pumpkin spice latte is one of my all time favorites.
what you’ll need
ingredients:
- PUMPKIN PIE SPICE
- POWDERED SUGAR
- EVAPORATED MILK
- instant coffee
- white CHOCOLATE CHIPS
optional ingredients:
- mini MARSHMALLOWs
- cinnamon sticks
- tubes or small containers for gifting
HOW TO MAKE YOUR INSTANT PUMPKIN SPICE LATTE MIX
if you’re making a large batch for yourself, you can pour all of the ingredients into a large airtight container.
if you’re making small gifts, you’ll want to layer them into small jars, tubes or plastic bags.
for each vial (i used 55 ml test tubes with cork stoppers from the craft store), you’ll want to layer a ratio of the ingredients. if you’re using a smaller container, you’ll want to reduce your measurements.
- 1 tablespoon of instant coffee
- 2 tablespoons of evaporated milk
- 1 tablespoon of powdered sugar
- 1/2 tablespoon of pumpkin pie spice
- white chocolate chips
if you like a stronger coffee flavor, add more instant coffee. You can also use a cinnamon stick to decorate the package. they make great stirrers to add a little extra flavor.
i recommend serving topped with whipped cream and a sprinkle of pumpkin pie spice!
when you’re ready to serve, just add it to 12 ounces or a large cup of boiling water.
