How to Make Cotton Candy Champagne Cocktails
Summer is officially in full swing, which has me feeling all kinds of nostalgic. For some reason, July reminds me of being a kid on summer vacation. Spending hours and hours swimming with friends, riding bikes, prank calling people, playing truth or dare and begging our parents to take us to the fair. As an adult, I totally understand why my parents would pay our teenage cousin to take us for them. Having to deal with a bunch of kids screaming and melting down from sugar crashes doesn’t sound like my idea of a good time either.
I recently had some of my gal pals over for a movie night and wanted to make it kind of a nostalgic, summer sleepover themed evening. We watched some old movies, ate pizza & laughed at old pictures. The only thing missing was a raging game of Mall Madness and Dream Phone. Brb, I think I majorly aged myself with those references.
Cotton Candy Champagne Cocktails Recipe
We took our little soirΓ©e to the next level, adding that same nostalgia to our champagne with a blast of sweet cotton candy. You can also keep the cocktail alcohol-free (if you’re underage) by using a non-alcoholic sparkling drink such as La Croix or sparkling apple cider. I opted for a little Chandon Sparkling RosΓ© because I was feeling fancy. If you’ve never tried it, it’s a pretty pink color that has hints of strawberry, watermelon & cherry. Ingredients
- 1 cup of Cotton Candy
- Champagne or Sparkling RosΓ©
- Rock Candy Sticks
Directions
It’s pretty straight forward! Put a little bit of cotton candy in your glass (or a lot depending on how sweet you want it). Then, pour the champagne on top! As you pour the champagne, watch the cotton candy melt and combine to create a fun, colorful champagne cocktail! Use your rock candy stick to stir!
You can use any colors or flavors of both the cotton candy and rock candy sticks! If you don’t want it to be as sweet, just skip the rock candy.

I used a small ice bucket and tongs to serve the cotton candy. Honestly, I thought it was a cute way to decorate the bar too!
