One of my most popular holiday recipes is a pigs in a blanket christmas wreath. So I thought it would be fun to share a new festive appetizer recipe in the shape of a wreath to get you into the holiday spirit!

How to Make a Christmas Antipasto Wreath

I shared an easy antipasto salad recipe you can check out here. Antipasto is an Italian recipe typically consisting of  cured meats, olives, peperoncini, mushrooms, anchovies, artichoke hearts, various cheeses (such as provolone or mozzarella), pickled meats, and vegetables in oil or vinegar.

For my recipe, I used:

  • Marinated Mozzarella Balls
  • Tomatoes (cherry, grape or mini heirloom work)
  • Artichoke Hearts
  • Olives (I like green olives stuffed with garlic)
  • Fresh Basil
  • Olive Oil
  • Vinegar
  • Salt & Pepper

You can also use other ingredients like pepperoncini, a cured meat like salami or prosciutto. I also used a little fresh rosemary to decorate the plate.

To put your wreath together, you’ll need small skewers or toothpicks and a serving platter. I used a round tray, but you can use whatever you’ve got on hand.

When you’re putting the ingredients onto the skewers, mix and match the order. Then place them in a circle on your serving platter. Add your fresh rosemary for decoration. Drizzle with a little olive oil and vinegar and then sprinkle with a little salt and pepper. If you want to get really fancy, use a balsamic glaze!

You can easily make this ahead of time, throw into the refrigerator and serve when you’re ready!
