I’m headed back out on the road next week and am already in packing mode.
I like to make sure that I’m completely covered a few days before leaving, just in case I need to make a last minute Amazon Prime order! Since I fly a few times a month, I’ve gotten it down to a science. I have a few things that I always carry in my carry on bag – which doubles as a bus bag. My bag got lost the last time I traveled, so I was glad that I had a few key things in my carry on to hold me over.
I wanted to share a few of my travel carry on essentials that will help you survive a flight, layovers & long travel!

Technology is key.
I have an iPad, but I recommend buying a cheap tablet to use on the plane. There’s nothing worse than getting stuck on a plane with no entertainment. You can buy one for under $40 and load it with movies. Even better? You can use in flight internet on it! This one is awesome and only $63! Also, don’t forget an external charger for your phone and tablet! You can use it when you’re traveling or if you can’t find an outlet! This one is under $20 and works on most devices! The greatest investment you can make is a pair of noise cancelling headphones, not only can you listen to music, but you can flip a switch and cancel out the noise of babies crying!

Travel Style.
I’m all for a good carry on bag. I prefer a rolling bag over a soft bag because you can always check it if needed. It’s also a lot easier to run through the airport with! I also like to wear comfortable clothes. I’m not going to show up in my pajamas, but I like to make sure I’ve got comfortable shoes and a hoodie to layer in case it gets cold. I’m a fan of these and they’re under $20!

Don’t forget a few back up toiletries.
In the event my bag is stolen, I always make sure I have some concealer or CC Cream, a toothbrush (or single use Wisps), and my new favorite product… SINGLE USE TOILETRIES! These little squeeze pods are a game changer. Most important is a pack of makeup remover wipes. It’s a great way to refresh and recharge mid or post flight.
