You guys… it’s almost time to start decorating for the holidays! I try really hard to wait until December every year to put up our tree and start decking our halls out with tinsel and lights. One of my favorite holiday traditions is getting an Advent Calendar. If you’re not familiar with them, they’re generally a cardboard calendar filled with chocolates. Every day, you get a piece of chocolate as you count down to Christmas.

Generally, the idea of the calendar is way cooler than the candy that comes in it. Usually they’re waxy, flavorless pieces of chocolate that are kind of disappointing. In theory, the idea of having a fun calendar to count down to Christmas is awesome. So why do we settle for boring “chocolates”?
