My New BFF: Red Velvet Oreo Ice Cream
I’d like to introduce you to my new best friend: Red Velvet Oreo Ice Cream. It’s been a long time coming, but it’s now official.
Let’s get straight to the point… I’m not going to fluff this up by adding any stories or fun facts, this is about the easiest, tastiest, most addicting ice cream I’ve ever made.
Let’s lay it all out there… the base of this ice cream only requires 2 ingredients and no ice cream maker. That’s right… you don’t need any fancy expensive machines or ingredients. All you need is a mixer and a quick trip to the grocery store.
It literally tastes like Red Velvet Cake Batter in ice cream form with hidden Oreo treasures. The other cool thing about this recipe… you can add as many Oreo bits as you want! That’s right, no digging for bits and pieces like the lame store bought ice cream that nickel and dimes your for goodies.
If there’s one recipe off of my website you try… THIS IS IT. Trust me. Jog over to the grocery store and stock up on ingredients. You won’t regret it.
What you’ll need:
2 cups of Heavy Whipping Cream
1 can of Sweetened Condensed Milk (14 oz)
1-2 cups of Red Velvet Cake Mix
After you whip your cream. you’ll add the Condensed Milk. I added closer to 2 cups of Red Velvet Cake Mix, but it’s up to you depending on how rich you want it to be. The same goes for the Oreos. You can add as many as you want, but I added about 12 crushed up.
Once its mixed (don’t over mix), you’re ready to freeze it. You’ll want to put it into a large tupperware container (or a few small ones). I added some extra Oreos on top just to make it look extra delicious! Freeze for 6 hours and serve! You can keep it in your freezer for a few weeks (if it lasts that long)!
