10 Trader Joe’s Products You Need In Your Life
I recently did an Instagram poll and asked how many people wanted to see a blog post about my top 10 favorite Trader Joe’s products. Only4% of people said no, and I’m still wondering who hurt them in a past life.
For those of you living under a rock (ok, or outside of America sorry), Trader Joe’s is kind of like the supermarket equivalent to a “cool mom” who wears yoga pants and sneaks a little wine into her coffee tumbler for soccer games.
10 Trader Joe’s Products You Need In Your Life
Trader Joe’s shelves are jam packed with every possible food craze, goody & healthy-ish staple you could dream of. Did I mention you can buy a 4 pound chocolate bar, cookie butter and even bacon flavored popcorn? Oh and you can even stock up on skincare, booze & cheap flowers while you’re there!
Caramel + Cheddar Popcorn Mix
I’m obsessed with salty sweet combos. Tony hates them. Which is great for me, because that means I don’t have to share. You’re probably thinking it sounds a little sketch, but if you’ve ever tried putting honey on your cheese, this is like an elevated version of that flavor combo. Ok, maybe not elevated since it’s cheddar popcorn, but equally as tasty.
Peanut Butter-Filled Pretzels
I actually remember getting these from Trader Joe’s as a kid. They’re still a staple in our pantry today. The outside is a crispy, extra salt pretzel. The inside a creamy little nugget of peanut butter. Another salty sweet combo you should totally check out.
Frozen Shepherd’s Pie
One thing that I would say TJ’s is particularly known for is there frozen food section. I feel like everything just tastes better & higher quality than other frozen foods. Their frozen shepherd’s pie is the perfect dish for a cold, cozy night in. I love nuking one on a rainy movie night. It’s basically like eating beef stew, topped with mashed potatoes. A total comfort food that won’t disappoint.
Kung Pao Cauliflower Tempura
I’ve only gotten this a few times, but that’s because it’s a fairly new item. I love cauliflower and use it pretty frequently in recipes. Whether you’re vegan/vegetarian or just looking to add some more vegetables into your diet, their kung pao cauliflower tempura is an awesome “add on item”. I like to add it to some brown rice and stir fried vegetables for a quick and easy dinner. You can get the other items in the frozen section too!
4 pack of canned wine
Trader Joe’s is kind of famous for it’s 2 Buck Chuck.I know it sounds totally crazy, but it’s actually decent wine and costs less than a lot of water bottles do. TJ recently launched a new line of wines that come in can form. You can now get sparkling white or rosé in a 4 pack! I love having them for pool days or throwing them in my purse for the beach or a movie — don’t judge me. It costs just under $4, which is an awesome deal for a glass of wine “on the go”.
Everything But the Bagel Sesame Seasoning Blend
Ok, this seasoning should probably be at the top of the list because I use it on everything. Basically, it’s the stuff they put on top of your everything bagel, you know the stuff that makes a giant mess when you’re eating. I love using it on bread, in marinades for chicken and vegetables, tossing into popcorn, pizza, pasta & even dips!
Dress Circle Crispy Crunchy Chocolate Chip Cookies
Another childhood favorite of mine. TJ’s crispy crunchy mini chocolate chip cookies are totally addicting. I actually use them in tons of recipes, crushing them and making pie crust is definitely at the top of the list. They’re also perfect for dunking into your coffee, tea or milk!
Chipotle Toscano Cheese
Rose Water Facial Toner
No list would be complete without highlighting one of Trader Joe’s amazing skincare products. Rose Water Facial Toner can be really expensive if you go to a beauty store, but TJ’s is only $11! It’s blended with rose water, rose oil, witch hazel & Quillaja Saponaria — combining to moisturize, balance, tone, soften & condition your skin. I mist it onto my face after cleansing and sometimes use it to refresh my mid-day makeup! It’s the perfect skincare product to throw into your gym bag & carry on!
Deep Dish Chocolate Chip Cookie
A meal in itself, Trader Joe’s deep dish cookie is so next level. It’s just as delish as it sounds. Let me start by saying that it costs $4 and can easily serve 2-4 people. AND you can make it in the microwave or your oven. Either way you heat it up, you’ll get a ooey, gooey, homemade-esque chocolate chip cookie. I recommend serving with ice cream!
