Easy Waffle Mozzarella Sticks

Farm Rich Appetizer Recipe - Mozzarella Sticks in a Waffle Iron Farm Rich Appetizer Recipe - Mozzarella Sticks in a Waffle Iron I could totally live off of appetizers, or as fancy people call them “tapas”. Tony and I’s favorite thing to do at restaurants is order a ton of appetizers to share for a meal. That way we get to try few things and generally, appetizers are always easy to eat, finger foods.

The same goes for parties, especially tailgating parties! A good gamed spread is key to being a #homegating hero. A lot of times, the food is underwhelming. I mean, chips and dip are fine. But why not take things to the next level. I love creating recipes that wow my friends. So I came up with a super fun, super easy game day appetizer that you can make for your friends using Farm Rich appetizers!

Easy Waffle Mozzarella Sticks

Farm Rich is one of my favorite brands, you can find them in the frozen food section at most grocery stores. I got mine at Vons, but have also grabbed them at Walmart! They have a ton of tasty options. First I grabbed some Mozzarella sticks for my key dish. Then I also picked up some Loaded Potato Skins and Jalapeño Peppers. I love that they’re super easy to prep. Which means I have more time to spend hanging out with friends and family – that way I’m not slaving away in the kitchen when everyone comes over.

I’m sharing my quick and easy guide for taking my mozzarella sticks to the next level, but they also have a ton of fun and easy recipes and ideas on their site.

Directions

Thaw your frozen Farm Rich Mozzarella Sticks for at least 15 minutes. While they’re thawing, heat up your waffle iron.

Depending on the size of your waffle iron, lay between 4-8 mozzarella sticks out on the waffle iron. Keep in mind that they will melt and spread. If you want to make a “mega mozzarella stick”, lay them out closer together. That way, when the cheese melts, they’ll stick together.

I turned my waffle iron on high and heated them for about 4 minutes. Depending on your waffle iron, heat them until they’re crispy. I like to push down on the waffle iron towards the end to flatten them out a bit.

Serve with marinara or pesto sauce and top with a little parmesan cheese!

I served mine with some Farm Rich Loaded Potato Skins & Jalapeño Peppers.
