30 Days Until 30

30 Days Until 30 Countdown

You guys, I just threw up in my mouth a little. I questioned whether or not to post about this, or if I should try to leave the illusion that I’m potentially a lot younger! BUT, I have no filter and no shame.

I’m oddly not super stressed about turning 30. I feel like I’ve been a 70 year old trapped in a 20 something body for a long time. Turning 30 is one of those monumental occasions that everyone has an opinion on. A lot of my friends have totally freaked out. Others could care less. Teenagers think it’s the equivalent to the apocalypse. As if when the clock strikes 12, my skin is going to shrivel up and I’m instantly gong to be an old hag.

For a long time, I equated thirty to “the next step”, or kind of the next decade when I needed to get my sh*t together. I’m not afraid of my hair going gray or getting wrinkles, but I am a little freaked out by the idea that I don’t feel like I’m turning 30.

Turning 30: Life Lessons, Bucket Lists, & Even A Few Giveaways!

Instead of being on the complaining train, I’m going to embrace the next month and want to celebrate with you guys! I thought it would be fun to do a “30 days until 30 countdown”! Every single day, I’ll dedicate either a blog post, IG story or IG post to content counting down until my 30th birthday!

Lessons I’ve Learned in 30 Years

It’s been one hell of a ride! I feel like one of my favorite things to share on this blog is life lessons, or tips I’ve learned along the way. Throughout my journey I’ve learned a lot, not only about myself but about creating a positive environment, embracing change, love, success, work, friends & so much more!

Still On My Bucket List

Things to do before turning 30 is on almost every blogger’s site. There are some awesome bucket lists, dreams & goals. Some girls want to travel to Antartica, learn how to speak chinese, or even buy a house. Instead, I want to create a more realistic, scaled down version for myself.

My goal (literally one of the things on my bucket list) is to actually create that list. I want it to be more of a set of goals I have for myself to improve my life. Not necessarily make a list of fancy crap I want to buy.

Health, Beauty & Wellness

Just because I’m turning 30 doesn’t mean I’m going to pull a Kylie and start getting my face pumped up with sh*t and spend all of my money on cool sculpting (no shame if you do that FYI, do your thang).

But, I think it would be fun to focus on some different health, beauty and wellness tips for women in their 20s and 30s.

I can’t rewind time, but I can do my best to help set my self up for physical success! AKA… maybe I should start taking vitamins? Or maybe I should do a little yoga so my body doesn’t fall apart.

Celebrating

Ok, so this month isn’t entirely low key and existential. There are a few things I want to buy myself to celebrate. Oh, and I’m totally going to throw a rager to force everyone else to celebrate with me.

I love throwing a good party, decorating, making fancy treats & surprising my friends (my birthday is near Halloween, duh).

Things I’m Looking Forward To

Honestly, life keeps getting better as I get older. Maybe it’s because I finally stopped worrying about all of the little things I can’t change? Or because I have kind of gotten some of my act together! Either way, I have so much fun stuff planned for the next year. I have tons of ideas on what I want to do and goals for the next months, year & decade!

Think: world domination!

Oh… and some Giveaways

No birthday month celebration would be complete without some giveaways. YOU GET A FACE MASK, YOU GET A GIFT CARD… (in Oprah voice). I don’t want the whole month to be about me. I want to use it as an excuse to go crazy and celebrate with everyone else! Since I can’t invite everyone to my actual party, we’re going to party all month while we count down!
