Aesthetic Goals: MARBLE OREOS

Like almost every girl, I’m obsessed with all things marble. I’ve got a marble water bottle, stationary, bed sheets, phone case, swimsuit and even workout gear! There’s just something so pretty & clean about it. Which got me thinking, how could I make some totally aesthetic marble desserts? I’ve made tons of chocolate dipped Oreos in my life. But only recently did I discover the magical Marble Oreo.

I’m not trying to brag or anything (because these were soo easy to make) — but they’re literally so beautiful, I almost didn’t want to eat them. ALMOST. I totally did. Actually, Tony ate more of them than me to be fair and I gave a ton away to friends. I think they’d make the cutest gift. Cue: idea for the holidays.

I made two version of the cookies. The first were your standard black, gray & white marble. Then, I decided to get tricky and make some more colorful ones. The greatest part of this recipe is how easy they are. You don’t need an oven, any fancy tools or crazy ingredients. All you need to know how to do is dip a cookie into some melted chocolate! You can’t really mess them up. I mean, even if the colors turn out a little off, they’re still totally delish!

Ingredients

  • Oreos – any flavor, I used Birthday Cake!
  • White Melting Chocolate – these are my favorites & you can buy them on Amazon.
  • Food Coloring – If you want to make regular marble use black food coloring, or you can use any other color like these.

Directions

The chocolate you buy should have directions on how to melt it. But generally, you want melt the white chocolate completely so that it’s smooth. Be careful not to overcook it or it will get chunky. I just melt mine in the microwave in a microwave safe bowl!

Once your chocolate is melted, your going to put a few drops of food coloring on top. If you’re doing regular marble, do a few drops of black food coloring. The other ones I made were using blue and pink food coloring. Use a toothpick to swirl the food coloring just a little bit.

Then, dip the cookie halfway into the chocolate. As you dip, you’ll need to add more food coloring every few cookies.

I placed mine on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Then let them cool off and harden for about an hour. To speed up the process, you can put them into the refrigerator. Once they’re hard, you can store them in an airtight container.
