I’m writing this Fall Bucket List blog post, sitting in my office wearing Uggs, sipping a pumpkin spice latte, while burning my new fave candle. Fall is basically every girl’s favorite season. Since it only comes once a year, I like to get a jump star on it and make sure I celebrate it to its fullest potential.

Doug and I are ready to have an amazeballs fall.

Erin & Doug’s Guide to Fall

The transition to fall means we get to swap our sandals and frappuccinos for boots and lattes. Ok, so maybe it will still be 70 degrees out in San Diego through November. But whatever. We can vicariously live through the rest of the country. Since Doug is 2 years old now, I thought it was about time to teach him all of the important things to do in fall.

Fall Fashion

Boots, scarves, hats, flannels & leather jackets. We love to be warm & cozy, especially during fall. No fall outfit is complete without plaid and a leather jacket. We ordered Doug some Ugg boots, but his feet were too big. The struggle is real. Ordering shoes online can be such a pain.

Be Camera Ready

Whether you’re at a pumpkin patch or stumble upon a pile of leaves, make sure you’re camera ready. I recommend getting a selfie stick, just in case because it’s vital that you take a ton of pictures of the pretty trees and leaves for your Instagram (don’t forget to throw on a VSCO filter).

Get Cozy

Fall is the perfect time to bundle up and watch movies on the couch. The more blankets, the better. You can also sit by the bonfire and roast marshmallows. Just beware, your hair will smell like smoke for a solid 3 days afterwards.

We also love adding twinkle lights & fall décor to our house. Don’t just stop at pumpkins. Stock up on fall scented candles, strategically placed faux leaves and wreathes & anything burlap.

Pumpkin Spice Everything

Now is the time to stock up on all things PS. Pumpkin spice is not just for coffee guys. There are candles, popcorn, ice cream, peanut butter, tea, beer, chapstick, candles, cough drops and even DOG TREATS.

That’s right, even Doug gets to enjoy Greenies Limited Edition Pumpkin Spice Flavored Treats!! Because obviously Doug deserves to enjoy everything I do. PS Doug literally freaks out over Greenies. If you’ve watched my Instagram stories, you’ve seen him run to his treat drawer and refuse treats until I give him his Greenies. Luckily, they also clean his teeth and freshen his breath.
