San Diego Food Finds
As you know… I’m a food girl. Part of what I love about being able to travel around the world is trying new foods along the way! I thought it would be fun to finally do a little food tour at home. There are SO MANY amazing restaurants in San Diego and I’ve only tried a small fraction of them.
I went to the Convoy Area which is quickly becoming a hot spot for fun restaurants and dessert bars. First stop:
Boba Bar and Desserts
What to order: I ordered a S’mores Puffle. I’m not really sure what the definition of a puffle is, but it’s kind of like a waffle, but inside out. Instead of nooks, it’s got puffs! The one I ordered was filled with vanilla frozen yogurt & topped with marshmallows, chocolate sauce, graham crackers & crumbs & chocolates. SO GOOD! If you stop in, be sure to order a boba tea also!
Bing Haus
What to order: Literally the most perfectly swirled soft serve I’ve ever seen. You can also order “Ice Cream by the Sea” – which is soft serve in a fish shaped cone with fruit on top! The rolled ice cream is also amazing. It’s kind of like cold stone, except they spread the ice cream out in a really thin layer and shave it into little rolls. The aesthetics are also on point. They have the cutest decor and photo ops.
Square Bar
What to order: Nom, nom, nom, nom…EVERYTHING! I started with a pizza bagel, hello who can say no to a pizza bagel topped with mini pepperoni!? Then got a rainbow bagel with cookie butter cream cheese, SO GOOD. I also ordered a FIFTY/FIFTY which is ice milk with pudding, caramel and honey boba. I can’t say enough good things about this place. The last time I visited I had ice cream, everything is amazing.
