How To Throw an Epic Galentine’s Day Party

Valentine’s Day can be kind of a buzz kill. Not everyone has a significant other. Not everyone gets to spend V-day with the one they love. Not all Valentinexpectations are always fulfilled. But you know what everyone does have… a squad. So whether you’ve got plans with your boo or are looking for something to keep yourself preoccupied, you should totally celebrate your favorite friends! This year, I’m all about Galentine’s Day. Because let’s be real, girls are the only ones who really care about the holiday anyways.

In the words of Leslie Knope… It’s wonderful and it should be a national holiday.

Step Two: Make super cute Valentine’s Presents for your besties.

Ok, so I may have made presents for all of my friends and my bf & Doug. But Doug and Tony are my BFFs! I had to!

Step Three: Treat Yo Self!

What better way to treat yourself and your gal pals than with actual treats!? I made my famous “Easy Peasy Peanut Butter Squeezy” cookies. Not only are they the easiest thing ever (3 ingredients), but super tasty bite sized snacks!

You’ll need a mini muffin tin and heart shaped marshmallows. I bought both at Walmart.

The cookies:

  • 1 Cup Peanut Butter
  • 1 Cup Sugar
  • 1 Egg

Mix your ingredients & then add spoonfuls of about 2 tablespoons to the mini muffin tin. I made sure to spray my tin with non-stick cooking spray and used a melon ball scooper for the dough.

Bake for 8 – 10 minutes.

I also cut my marshmallows in half so they would be a little thinner. Once you pull the cookies out, press the marshmallows on top. Let them cool before removing!

Step Four: Crank up the jams and party!

Check out my Spotify Playlist and party with your girls! I recommend making pajamas a requirement. Even if it’s in the middle of the day. Because… who wants to wear pants? Maybe even throw on your favorite friendship movie! I recommend Now and Then!

How are you celebrating Galentine’s Day this year!?
