DIY Hot Chocolate Spoons
Do you know anyone who turns down a warm cup of hot chocolate? Nope. Neither do I. One of my favorite last minute gifts are these super easy, inexpensive, DIY Hot Chocolate Spoons!
The best part about this recipe is that you can customize them with any flavor combination you want! I made mine with mini marshmallows and crushed candy canes: think peppermint hot chocolate or mocha! You can add any toppings you want, whether it’s sprinkles or more candy!
To make them, you’ll need some disposable spoons. I used wooden ones, but you can use plastic too. You’ll also need some cellophane & twist ties if you want to package them up.
For ingredients, pick your favorite chocolate. I went with Ghirardelli Dark Chocolate, but you can do milk chocolate or a combination! Then pick some toppings.
First, melt your chocolate. You can do this by putting it into a microwave safe bowl and heating for 30 seconds at a time. I recommend putting a teaspoon or two or oil into your chocolate to keep it smooth. Once it’s melted, dip your spoon into the chocolate and sprinkle with toppings. Once they’re hard, you can wrap them up!
